Passionate about animals, Canine Wellness Center (CWC) provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to companion animals in the greater Phoenix area.  By utilizing positive reinforcement techniques and numerous pain-free treatment services, our goal is to improve the animals’ and owners’ quality of life. Our services (all-inclusive with our therapy program) include underwater treadmill/hydrotherapy, class IV cold laser therapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF), therapeutic ultrasound, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrical stimulation (NMES and TENS), and pain management. Our patients include canines recovering from orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neurologic diseases to canine athletes, seniors, and service dogs.

No primary veterinary care is provided at CWC.

Any issues outside the rehab’s scope will be referred back to their primary care provider.

Rehabilitation for canines adapts human physical therapy techniques to increase function and mobility of joints and muscles in animals. Animal rehabilitation can reduce pain and enhance recovery from injury, surgery, degenerative diseases, age-related diseases, and obesity.

CWC is primarily a referral-based practice for the purpose of rehabilitation and sports medicine services only. We will work with primary care veterinarians to provide the best comprehensive solutions available.  Our office is located near the Kierland Commons area in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Kristin Craig, CVT, CCRVN

Canine Rehabilitation Therapist

Kristin is a certified veterinary technician (CVT) and has been working as a technician for 15 years.  She started in general practice and progressed her career as a technician in specialty surgery and rehabilitation.  She is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse (CCRVN) from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Her background in the veterinary surgical specialty has given her an understanding of many surgical procedures and how they affect a pet’s mobility.  Her passion for the field of rehabilitation came from having experienced her own geriatric boxer’s decline due to arthritis. She has pursued the path that would allow her to help other geriatric pets with pain control as well as have the mobility to live their best life in their golden years. She has enjoyed making a difference in their care and ability to return to normal function. When not working, Kristin enjoys hiking with her beagles, playing the flute, and pursuing a veterinary pain practitioner certification.

Ashley Ronnebaum

Canine Rehabilitation Therapist

Ashley has been working as a veterinary technician since 2008.  Ashley realized the extensive benefits of physical therapy while watching many of her post-operative patients go through their healing process. She has seen first-hand the positive impact physical therapy can have on improving and maintaining degenerative diseases through her 10-year-old pit bull, who has lived his whole life with neurologic deficits that impact his mobility.  Ashley looks forward to helping all her patients be more comfortable by providing the highest standard of rehabilitation and strengthening. In her personal time, Ashley loves camping, backpacking, and kayaking with her Border Collie, riding her horse, and practicing archery
